Abstract

Minimnya interaksi tatap muka dan keterbatasan penggunaan bahasa non-verbal mengakibatkan kekayaan komunikasi dalam lingkungan virtual sangat terbatas yang berdampak pada efisiensi kinerja tim. Pemimpin mempunyai peran yang signifikan dalam mengatasi masalah tersebut. Berbeda dengan lingkungan tradisional, pemimpin membutuhkan upaya yang cukup besar dalam mengelola pekerjaan dan membangun hubungan yang baik dengan bawahannya di lingkungan virtual. Oleh karena itu, kepercayaan menjadi faktor penting yang membantu pemimpin dalam mengelola tim virtual. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji apakah kepercayaan pada pemimpin merupakan salah satu faktor yang paling relevan terhadap keberhasilan tim kerja virtual dengan menganalisis berbagai anteseden kepercayaan dan konsekuensinya. Penelitian ini menguji pengaruh perilaku tertentu dari pemimpin seperti keadilan, empati dan kemampuan mendengarkan terhadap tingkat kepercayaan anggotanya. Selanjutnya, peneliti menguji pengaruh kepercayaan terhadap efisiensi tim, dalam hal ini adalah komitmen karyawan pada organisasi. Penelitian ini berfokus pada 152 karyawan generasi z yang bekerja di lingkungan virtual dengan metode survei. menggunakan teknik analisis Structural Equation Model (SEM). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perilaku pemimpin keadilan, empati dan kemampuan mendengarkan berpengaruh pada kepercayaan anggota kepada pemimpin. Selanjutnya, kepercayaan kepada pemimpin berpengaruh pada komitmen organisasi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kepercayaan kepada pemimpin dapat meningkatkan kinerja tim virtual.
